Background
Cliff has been involved in covering sports in Oregon since 1983, when he started into sports broadcasting at Benson High’s KBPS as an eighth grader. He’s worked at and newspapers across the state, including The Oregonian, The Register-Guard in Eugene, The News-Review in Roseburg and the Portland Tribune. He’s owned oregonsports.com since 1998, and published the Oregon Sports Almanac as well as Oregonsports Journal magazine in print. He’s also worked as a sports broadcaster for several radio stations, produced live webcasts of events such as the Oregon Football League championship game through the series Pacific Football Weekly, and produced the podcast Sportsland, Oregon for eight years.
Commitment
The Governor of Oregon Sports Media campaign is focused on creating the streaming network OSPN - Oregon Sports Programming Network - with the goal of providing a space for content creators to have their own visions of sports media put in front of the world. The way to get that to happen is to promote the campaign platform of Community, Life Experience and Respect, all of which is further explained through videos on the YouTube channel.
Your Support
Your contributions will help create OSPN, and its many paths for residents to create content and have it put in front of the community. Some of it may be paid for through monthly subscription fees. Most of it will likely be produced and placed on the network for free - with available technical assistance as an asset we provide to those creators. This network is a first-of-its-kind in the nation, something to promote the platform of Community, Life Experience and Respect to a nation that needs it.
